Whats art? Why do we like it? Why do we make it? How does it work? What is taste, really? What does it mean to be subjective? All that, etc.
Asking and looking into questions like these is called aesthetics, pretty much it's like art philosophy which is really broad. So what this page is meant to be is trying to see & understand the patterns in causes, content, & effects of art because once we can explain it we can use it to make cool stuff or even just appreciate it better.
